Carolina Advanced Digital’s official statement on HP’s acquisition of Aruba Networks

On March 2 2015, Hewlett-Packard announced that it will acquire Aruba Networks in a deal valued at $2.7 billion. This is the largest acquisition by HP since it acquired Autonomy for nearly $12 billion in 2011, and it’s no surprise to those of us who have watched HP gradually feel their way into the wireless market. Aruba will become part of the forthcoming HP Enterprise, once that portion of the company is split from its PC and printer business later this year. Hewlett Packard and Aruba are a wonderful match. Their buyer portfolios overlap, and there’s a lot of parity between the environments in which they’re deployed. For the new HP Enterprise this will provide a timely infusion of expertise and acumen – they’ll hit the ground running with momentum that will be invaluable to a viable launch in a highly competitive marketplace. Enterprise consumers can look forward to being able to plan and purchase an entire technology offering through a single manufacturer with a proven track record on networking.
