Jennifer Minella hosts RSAC’s first “Securing Diversity: Women in Cybersecurity” event

Our own VP of Engineering, Jennifer Minella, is hosting the RSA Conference’s first ever minority-focused event. This important event is designed to highlight our industry’s workforce gap and the need for diversity, in all forms, to solve some of our industry’s toughest challenges.

February 13, from 2-5pm, Jennifer will emcee and host the inaugural event with featured speakers like Dr. Uma Gupta, Valerie Plame (Former Covert CIA Operations Officer and Author), Bobbie Stempfley (Director, Cyber Strategy Implementation, The MITRE Corporation) and Allison Miller (Product Manager, Security & Privacy, Google).

Black Falcons Teams from Green Hope High School Tally Clean Sweep in Local AFA CyberPatriot Challenge, Supporters Invite Assistance from Community to Accelerate Student STEM Involvement and Achieve Glory at Nationals

Teams Black, Purple and Red finished first, second and third respectively in the North Carolina Platinum Level for the prestigious Air Force Association sponsored cybersecurity competition. The Black Falcon’s rookie White team debuted with a first place finish in the Gold Level. All teams need additional mentors, organizational assistance and donations to make an impact at national competition in Washington DC and kick start much needed STEM education engagement.

Carolina Advanced Digital Hosts 2nd Annual Cyber Security Student Track at 2016 IT Hot Topics Conference on May 5th to Support & Educate North Carolina High School Students in the National CyberPatriot Challenge Competition

The 2015 pilot program was a massive success and Carolina Advanced Digital is stepping forward again to sponsor an intensive free program that includes a full day of cyber security focused activities for students. This year’s event is expanding to include larger student attendance, more professional outreach, and added emphasis on STEM career opportunities.
