His vision was clear: to provide top-notch enterprise networking and custom system design solutions to a select group of enterprise customers, primarily in North Carolina. By 1993, the company took a significant step towards becoming a true family-owned business. John’s wife, Susan, bought out his partner, solidifying their shared commitment to the company’s growth and success. A milestone achievement came in 2003 when Carolina Advanced Digital was awarded its first GSA contract. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of the company’s expansion into the federal sector. Today, Carolina Advanced Digital continues to grow its federal business, proudly serving as a Prime contractor on NASA’s SEWP contract and earning designations as both a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and a HUBZone small business.
