2006 IT Hot Topics a SuccessOver fifty technologists converge to view today’s hottest technology topics at event in North Carolina.
SILER CITY, NC – April 27, 2006- Carolina Advanced Digital, Inc., declared their Fourth Annual IT Hot Topics Training and Golf Tourney a success. Over fifty technologists from across all markets, including local and federal government, education and commercial, converged Wednesday, April 26th to view and participate in discussions of hot technology topics.
Carolina Advanced Digital, Inc. hosted the event along with its six core partners, AEP Networks, HP Procurve Networking, Patchlink, Packeteer, Sonicwall and Symantec. The annual event is designed to provide information and insight into current and emerging infrastructure and security technologies.
At this year’s Hot Topics Training, technologies presented included bandwidth management, integrated security (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS), email security, new networking technologies, vulnerability and patch management, secure remote access, authentication/PKI and backup and disaster recovery.
Following the training session, thirty one golfers participated in the annual IT Golf Tourney. Despite inclement weather during parts of the day, the eight teams managed to complete at least nine holes. Trophies, medals and certificates were presented for First Place, First and Second Flights as well as Longest Drive and Closes to the Pin. All participants received medals.
John Jabbusch, President and Chief Engineer of Carolina Advanced Digital, Inc., noted the day was a success, despite the ominous weather. Planning for the 2007 IT Hot Topics is already in the works at a new location.
