CARY, NC (June 24, 2011) – On June 23, Carolina Advanced Digital, Inc., an engineering company focused on IT infrastructure, management and security solutions, was recognized by Business Leader Media as one of the Top 300 Small Businesses of the South at the awards ceremony held at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh. Carolina Advanced Digital ranked 29th in the Triangle market and 167th in the South.

This is the first year that Business Leader Media ranked small businesses as a whole over nine Southern markets (Triangle, Triad, Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Jacksonville, Tampa and Miami) and within each market. Previously, the awards were divided by state; Carolina Advanced Digital ranked in the Top 100 Small Businesses of North Carolina for the past three years. This year, the Triangle has 59 of the top 300 small businesses in the South, the most out of all the markets.

To qualify, a business must employ fewer than 100 full-time employees, generate more than half of its sales in its market and have been in business for at least five years.  Winners were selected by a panel of peers based on three criteria: revenue growth, business achievement and community achievement.

“When I established Carolina Advanced Digital over 25 years ago, my vision for the company included providing jobs to stimulate the local economy and finding ways to give back to the community,” said John Jabbusch, founder and chief engineer of Carolina Advanced Digital. “I’m so proud of what we’ve been able to contribute to the region.”

“We base our success on finding solutions for our customers’ needs,” said Susan Jabbusch, president of Carolina Advanced Digital. “We are honored to be recognized as one of the leading businesses in the South— it validates the vision of the company and the expertise and dedication of our employees.”
