New 204L networking contract allows NC state agencies and schools to engage Carolina Advanced Digital in a streamlined purchasing process for industry leading Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Aruba Networks switching and wireless equipment. Advantages to buyers include attractive pricing benefits, elimination of time-consuming bid process, and enhanced specialty support.
[11/16/2015 – Cary, North Carolina]
Following a heated competition that attracted elite technology providers within the networking industry, nationally recognized infrastructure and security solutions leader Carolina Advanced Digital has been selected as a reseller for the 204L contract by the State of North Carolina. The contract allows NC state agencies and schools to enjoy a faster and smoother purchasing process for approved HPE and Aruba Networks products, with attractive pricing and without the usual procurement headaches and time-consuming bid processes.
The contract includes most of the HPE networking line, including the small web-managed 1800 series and up to the large 7500 series chassis switches, as well as wired and wireless products in the HPE and Aruba Networks lines, including ProVision and Comware.
“As a longtime partner of Hewlett Packard, we’re pleased to be able to continue to service our customers who leverage this contract,” said Carolina Advanced Digital Executive Vice President Susan Jabbusch. “We know this will be a major convenience for all our public sector customers.”
Several factors tipped the competition in Carolina Advanced Digital’s favor, including its long standing status as a HPE Gold Networking specialist. This designation is awarded by Hewlett Packard only to organizations that achieve the highest standards of service in networking solutions engineering and sales. Performance criteria that Carolina Advanced Digital has achieved exceptional marks for include expertise in networking, exceptional customer support pre- and post-sales, and commitment to providing solutions to meet customer missions, instead of simply selling product.
The availability of a local provider with in-state experience was another factor in Carolina Advanced Digital’s favor. The company has been a North Carolina based technology innovator for over 30 years and the state is home to two offices, including its headquarters. The company is a familiar face locally and this new contract will be a benefit to the customers in nearly every one of North Carolina’s 100 counties that already have individual purchasing contracts with Carolina Advanced Digital. Additionally, Carolina Advanced Digital is the only integrator in the region certified on HPE Networking, Aruba wireless, and Aruba’s ClearPass security solution.
“We’ve had HPE products available to North Carolina state agencies through other contracts, however a state contract is preferred because it presents the least challenge and most advantageous procurement process for agencies wishing to purchase,” said Julie Allen, Inside Sales Manager at Carolina Advanced Digital. “Now we can assist agencies using other vendors convert to HPE, which will save them money, reduce total cost of ownership, and streamline management. It’s very much a ‘win’ for the state and these customers.”
Contract customers purchasing from Carolina Advanced Digital will additionally have access to premium technical resources, concierge-level assistance, free trainings and events, a dedicated account support team, and the ability to access the company’s e-commerce platform to shop online 24/7 with special pricing built in.
For products not on 204L, it will be business as usual: North Carolina agencies can still purchase from Carolina Advanced Digital and access their industry leading solutions and support via several other contract vehicles.
